Abraham Lincoln Washington, D.C. Funeral Procession Program, April 19th, 1865
Quite rare Washington, D.C. funeral procession program for President Lincoln. The funeral procession starts at the Executive Mansion on April 19th after religious services, with Lincoln's body being brought to the Capitol Rotunda for public viewing. The program lists the pall bears, which include General Grant, General Halleck, Admiral David Farragut, etc. Also listed is how other dignitaries, including the President's relatives, are to march in the procession. One can image the spectacle of this procession heading down Pennsylvania Avenue Thousands of mourners lining the avenue. The who's who's of Washington, D.C. marching in the procession along side Lincoln's hearse and finally the public viewing of the great Emancipator's body in the Capitol Building. An event for the ages! The procession program measures 5" X 8" (site) and is framed with a large silk Lincoln portrait emancipation ribbon and a 19th Century Lincoln Dioramic Association ticket. The ensemble is framed to an overall size of 14 1/2" X 17 1/2". A wonderful presentation. $2,250.00

Abraham Lincoln Photograph. Spectacular large Lincoln photograph. Oval albumin image measures 6" X 7 7/8". Looks to be in the original frame. Has excellent tone and detail...the scans do not do it justice! Has not been retouched. Not examined out of the frame, but certainly has the tone and clarity of an original Brady. Another example of this classic image is now being offered on a Chicago, Illinois dealers website at $18,000.00.  This example is more reasonably priced @ $4,250.00

Abraham Lincoln CDV, Anthony-Brady back imprint. Superb of example of this seated CDV of President Lincoln. Image taken at Brady's Washington, D.C. studio in January 1864. Hint of age to mount. A real beauty. Up until 4 or 5 years ago this image commanded a price of $2,000.00. This have come down somewhat in price, and is a great buy at $1,400.00

Classic Solitary Pine pose of Lincoln  by Brady. This excellent example has an Anthony/Brady back imprint. The albumin is excellent. $1,450.00

Known as the "Penny Profile Pose", this wonderful carte has a Brady back imprint. Lincoln's image is bold and clear. A fine example.$1,250.00

A scarce Lincoln CDV which rarely appears on the market. Had long been attributed to Mathew Brady, but was actually taken by Lewis Emory walker in February 1865. Lincoln is shown with spiked hair..almost like a crew cut. A great CDV having a bold clear image of the President. $1,675.00

Don't confuse this image of Lincoln and his son with all the pirated copies offered. This is an original Brady with Brady's imprint on the verso. This is the first "original" of this pose I have owned in over 20 years of buying Lincoln photographs. A most difficult image to source. $1,250.00

Beautiful CDV of Mary Lincoln, c. 1863. Has excellent tone and detail. Bold! $295.00

U.S. Grant Trinket Box. Rare china trinket box with an image of U.S. Grant, c. 1872. Measures 5 1/4" tall. No chips or cracks. Wear to gold gilt as typical with this piece. This is the first example that I have owned in 20+ years of collecting. A wonderful 3-D political piece. $725.00

Theodore Roosevelt Portrait Tambourine. Beautifully executed image of TR on tambourine skin. Great display piece. Not sure when done, but the image is a known portrait of TR done in the early 20th Century. $185.00

Winfield Scott Signed CDV. Wonderful Union General and Presidential candidate signed CDV. The CDV, by Rintoul & Rockwood, New York, pictures an aged "Fuss and Feathers". He has boldly signed on the verso "Lient. General Scott". This is the first signed image I have owned of Scott in which he signed in this manner. More often than not he would sign "Winfield Scott". A great example. $475.00
